Bermuda Photographers / Models Meet and Greet - Summer 2011
Sunday, June 19
1:00pm - 4:30pm
@ Fort Hamilton
The first meet and greet of 2011 will be held at Fort Hamilton on Sunday June 19th. (1pm - 4.30pm)
The objective of the meet and greet is for local photographer and models to meet, network and do test shoots with each other. Although it is primarily for Photographers and models, anyone is welcome, especially if you have an interest in fashion and photoshoots (MUAs, Hair stylists, Designers, Stylists are all welcome)
-------------...------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first Meet and Greet was held at Warwick Long Bay in Aug 2010 and was attended by approx 60 people, with an equal split between photographers and models.
The test shoots are meant to be short (5-10mins) shoots, giving each photographer/model the opportunity to shoot with everyone. Personal one on one shoots can then be arranged after the event with your preferred photographers/models. The photographers are under no obligation to provide any images from the meet and greet, it is at their sole discretion. (although most did from the previous event)
This is a very informal gathering and it is up to each attendee to get out of it what they want. You can be as actively involved as you wish, or you can be a spectator. Some people may wish to shoot with as many photographers/models as possible, whilst others may want to shoot with a select few.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Agenda:
1-3.30 Networking and Test Shoots
3.30-4.00 Runway Shoot
4.00-4.30 Group Shots
For the Runway and Group Shots models are asked to wear tight blue jeans, fitted white Ts and heels.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Photographer Etiquette: This is basically common sense, but needs to be said. If a photographer is shooting a model it is disrespectful to the photographer and model to start shooting the model at the same time. 1. it is distracting for the model. 2. its the photographers vision that you are 'stealing'. If you want to shoot the model in the same location wait for the test shoot to end and ask her/him to shoot with you. If you want to take behind the scene images, these should include both the photographer and model in the shot, then make sure you ask the photographer first.
